More than 90 Riley team members decided to spend the night at the hospital in order to ensure they would be available to care for patients during the snowstorm. Riley Hospital for Children is now designated as a Trauma Survivors Network site. Team members are working to create new tools to help trauma patients heal both physically and emotionally. There are several new efforts underway to provide hollistic care to this patient population. A Riley social worker and injury prevention coordinator are creating a manual that will guide families through their hospital stay and recovery.
