US CENTCOM used Sea Hawk and Apache helicopters on Monday to "eliminate Iranian small boats threatening commercial shipping" in the Strait of Hormuz. As part of Project Freedom, over 100 aircraft from land bases and two carriers are currently working to reopen the waterway and escort commercial vessels.
